Sunday January 31, 2010Zahrain: I won’t quit my party
PETALING JAYA: Bayan Baru MP Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohd Hashim denies speculations that he is quitting PKR after his public criticism of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng.
Stressing that he was still loyal to PKR, Zahrain said his criticism was not part of a dramatic exit strategy.
“I will not quit my party. My criticism was purely to remind Pakatan Rakyat comrades to stick to the party’s original struggle to push for reform,” said Zahrain.
He was responding to speculations in an online news portal that he planned to quit along with several MPs to enable Barisan Nasional to regain its two-thirds majority in Parliament.
